Monday Mania – 8.8.2016

It’s pretty incredible to think that it August already.

Of course, we are also one month closer to the presidential selection. I am honestly in fear for our country. One of the issues that concerns me most as a veteran is how neither Clinton or Trump have any good frame of reference to be the Commander-in-Chief. Obama didn’t either and we all can see how he has treated our military.

At a minimum, consider this account about Hillary Clinton from an Air Force vet who was a Military Working Dog handler:

I’m not Voting for Clinton.

It has nothing to do with her views. It really doesn’t even matter about all the laws she broke.

It’s because She actually talked to me once. Almost a sentence. But first, some background.

Being a K9 handler in the Military I got to do a few details involving Distinguished Visitors. Mostly Generals, DOD Officials, and Secretaries of Defense. I was lucky enough to pull two awesome details. George W Bush, and Obama.

GW looked at me, said “Man, who’d you piss off” high fived me, and continued on. I was climbing down from a catwalk I stood on for 4 hours with nothing but Dust and a radio to keep me company. The radio died early on. It was pretty sweet.

Obama, as he was walking out to his plane in Turkey, said “What the hell kind of dog is that?!” In reference to Suli.

One of my Last details was for Hillary when she was Secretary of State. She was in Turkey for whatever reason. I helped with sweeps of her DV Quarters and staff vehicles. Her words to me? “Get that F****** dog away from me.” Then she turns to her Security Detail and berates them up and down about why that animal was in her quarters. For the next 20 minutes while I sit there waiting to be released she lays into her detail, slamming the door in their faces when she’s done. The Detail lead walks over apologizes and releases me. I apologize to him for getting him in trouble. His words “Happens every day, Brother”

Hillary doesn’t care about anyone but Hillary.

It seems as though we are in one of those situations where a healthy amount of fear is good. These options are not good for America. If we want to make America great again, we need to stand up as Americans and create the changes that need to be made, regardless of how we have to make it happen.

Don’t lose focus on the fact that there are more reasons to be prepared now, then there ever have been before.

I hope y’all have a blessed week!

MY FINDS FOR LAST WEEK:

Judge Kills Gary Johnson’s Attempt to Change Presidential Debate Rules – Everyone thinks Donald Trump is crazy (I’m not saying he’s not!) for saying that the election is rigged. I think he is right (although not for the same reasons) and here is proof that we operate in a system that is not truly interested in the desires of the people, only those who run the system.

Define Your Disaster – This is the perfect first step for any beginning prepper OR someone who got started and may need some refocusing. I would be lying if I said I always have it together. Additionally, as someone who has moved on a regular basis, this could be a great tool for reassessing threats in a new area.

Seven Places Where WW3 Could Start at Any Time – If for no other reason, this is good information to have from a situational awareness perspective. Depending on where you are located in the world, this info could be used to assess the threats that you face in your area.

With Terror and Rape Spreading, “Self-Defense Weapons Permits Hit Record Highs” in Germany – My take away…take your defensive options seriously, defend your rights, and put measures into place before limitations can be placed on you.

AD: Don't waste $$$ on a $300 water filter when there is a more affordable option available!

Now Collapsing Flint Suspends Trash Pick-up: “Stench of Rotting Garbage Permeating Streets” – Stay clear of this public health crisis in Michigan!

Edible Flowers: 42 Varieties to Add to Your Garden – I happen to be a fan of the peppery tones of the nastiertium on my salad.

MORE MADNESS IN THE WORLD:

Chinese Drills Prepare for “Sudden, Cruel and Short” Electronic Warfare in Disputed Waters – This is interesting, especially considering what happened with the Chinese Navy at RIMPAC in 2014, what they did after the 2014 RIMPAC exercise, and the fact that the U.S. still did not learn anything from it!

Lobbyists Woo Potential Freshmen Long Before Election Day – No wonder we have a corrupt system.

ILLINOIS INSTITUTES CHILLING NEW MANDATE FOR SCHOOLS TO TEACH CHILDREN HOW TO SUBMIT TO POLICE

FEDERAL AGENCY SUGGESTS THAT GADSDEN FLAG MAY BE RACIST – Is there nothing better for the federal government to do? I guess the obvious answer is no.

The Big Khan Con – I think that maybe the whole world has gone mad.

TIN FOIL HAT TIME:

As Hillary Steals the White House, Five More Added to “Clinton Body Count”

Madame President Clinton’s Coming War on the Blogosphere, and Your Countermeasures – I especially appreciate JWR’s statement, “I can see all of this s coming, and I refuse to be muzzled. I aim to misbehave. If need be, I will relocate so that I can still blog freely.”

That’s a wrap for me this week. As always, I hope that you all have a great week and keep getting ready for tough times. It seems like we get closer every day to something unfortunate coming along.

Are You Geared 2 Survive?

Marc Lacrimosa from Gear2SurviveShop.com runs a great online survival and preparedness store as well as hosting a radio show, Gear2Survive, on the USA Emergency Broadcasting Network. Marc also has a store location in Winder, Georgia for those that might want to check it out! In addition to dedicating so much of his time to survival, he is a knife guru! It is well worth the time to check out his radio program to learn about the gear required to survive a myriad of situations.

The man behind Gear2Survive was willing to share a little survival insight and here is what he had to say:

  • If I were limited to only one firearm for survival, I would own an AK 47 7.62 X 39 CAL.
  • The single most overlooked prep is water and fire preparedness.
  • The first thing to disappear following a disaster will be electricity and water.
  • If I could have a retreat anywhere in the world, it would it be in the Northeast Georgia mountains near North Carolina with 10-20 acres and water.
  • In my opinion, the best commercially produced survival food on the market today is Wise Foods.
  • The items that I have on me at all times include: A Chris Reeves Project II Knife, Glock 23 .40 cal., and a small evasion style bug out bag, loaded.
  • The last book that I read was Home Defense Prepping.
  • One thing that I would miss the most if an EMP shifted my lifestyle back to the 1800’s would be electricity.
  • Stuck on an island and forced to choose one person to survive with, I would pick my wife as my survival partner.
  • The vehicle I drive is a 2005 Dodge 1500 Quad Cab.

I would like to thank Marc for sharing a little bit about what his thoughts are on survival. Make sure to swing by his site and check out all the great survival and preparedness items. You can also catch Marc on Facebook, YouTube, and his blog.
