It’s hard to believe but today is the last Sunday in February. It is amazing how fast the year has gone. Hopefully everything is going well for you. I have spent the last week hanging out with my parents. Hi mom and dad! (I guess I am figuring that they will read this. If anyone reads a blog you would think it would be the parents of the person writing it!) I had a great time and even caught a funky looking duck!
Don’t worry…he wasn’t hurt and neither was I. He was so comfortable with people, he came right up to us.
I found a few things this week that I deemed especially useful and would like to share with you. Here’s what I’ve got:
10 Ways To Deter Burglars – I don’t think there is such a thing as too much security. Here are 10 straight forward and fairly basic ways to increase the security of your home and deter unwanted visitors.
Six Things To Scout Along Your Evacuation Route – There is plenty of information on the web about bugging out and evacuating but I like this because it talks about looking at your route ahead of time and what to look for. This is definitely something to recon and mark on your maps or GPS that you will use when you hit the road in reaction to a disaster.
Dealing With Prepper Burnout – Prepping, like anything, can get old, monotonous, stressful, and eventually lead to burnout. Here are a few great pointers on how to deal with burn out as a prepper.
No, You Can’t Come To My House – I am sure that most of us have either heard a story about someone, or heard first hand, an account of a person who simply says, “If things go bad, I’ll just come to your house! You’re preparing for the end of the world, right?” This is a very interesting account of that same conversation as told by a fellow blogger.
Exploring Water Filtration Options – It can be difficult to decide which water filter is the best fit for you. The only thing that is not up for debate is that you need a water filter. This article makes it a little easier to decide which water filter is the best fit for you.
Starting Seeds In Recycled Containers – Gardening season is just around the corner! That means that now is the time to start thinking and planning. Starting seeds is even easier now with the assistance of these recycled materials.
PVC Drip Irrigation System For Your Garden – After you plant the plants that you started in your recycled containers you will need a way to water them. Check out this do it yourself idea for setting up a garden irrigation system.
Thats a wrap for me this week! Keep getting things together for any tough times that may lay ahead and don’t be frustrated if the world does not end. It’s actually better that way!
Did you find anything last week that everyone else could benefit from? Make sure to share it in the comments.
Check back next week for another edition of Survival Sunday.
