Monday Mania – 4.11.2016
It has been three weeks since the last Monday Mania and for that I apologize. The timing of things just did not work out very well for me and in terms of priorities, I have selfishly chosen to put my family, my job that pays, and the Carry The Fallen Ruck March that I completed the weekend before last. I hope, and am sure, that you will all understand.
Speaking of my priorities, I want to give you all a heartfelt thank you for your support, both financially and with your thoughts and prayers, for the Carry The Fallen Ruck March. With your support I was able to not only survive, but also raise $760 (my goal was $500) for this extremely worthy cause.
It meant so much to me to get to participate in this event. Not only have I lost someone I consider a friend, and fellow veteran, to suicide, I myself have struggled through the post-war trauma that included bouts with suicidal ideation. I thank God for bringing me through that difficult time in my life.
In terms of how everything else has gone over the last few weeks, things have been going mostly decent. I say that because my oldest son has continued to suffer from increased severity of his Tourette Syndrome, my middle son broke his arm, and all of this is happening in the midst of daily life. I can tell you this much, I could not deal with it all; I don’t know how my wife does it. I am truly blessed to be married to such a wonderful person.
I am hoping this week will go well. My parents are visiting so it has been good to see them and of course my kids are excited to see them (The two younger boys anyway. It’s hard to get a 16 year old excited about anything, at least at our house.). We will see what is to come!
I hope y’all have a blessed week!
MY FINDS FOR LAST WEEK:
Surviving The Unthinkable – Being Prepared For What Is Coming Will Be The Difference Between Living And Dying – This may seem like an obvious statement but it is full of truth. Do now and you will have later. Do nothing and you will have nothing.
SHTF Skills Every American Needs: “Improvise With What You Have” – Sometimes it is not about what you have, it’s what you can do with what you find.
How an Attack on America Would Probably Begin: Possible Courses Of Action By Foreign Military Powers – All I have to say is, “Wolverines!” If you are not familiar with the quote, it is from the movie Red Dawn.
How to Survive Workplace Violence – This is not an unheard of thing in America anymore. There is a growing percentage of the population who are disillusioned or so out of touch with reality that they determine that such shootings are an actual solution to something.
MORE MADNESS IN THE WORLD:
CEO Keith Neumeyer Warns: “There’s Going To Be a Major Revolt… We’re Going To See Riots” – I don’t think that such a response is out of the realm of possibility. In fact, if things continue to move the way they are, I see it as being probable.
“KKK Member With Whip” Panics College Over Race… Oh, Wait. It’s a Priest With Beads – This is the future of America? Student who can’t tell the difference between the KKK and Catholicism.
VIDEO: White College Student Attacked By Black Classmate For Having Dreadlocks: “Because It’s MY Culture” – Making an issue of a white individual having dreadlocks is the type of activity that ensures racism will never end. When it’s a “black thing” or a “white thing” or a “whatever thing,” we will never be able to move toward issues being an individual “person thing.”
That’s a wrap for me this week. As always, I hope that you all have a great week and keep getting ready for tough times. It seems like we get closer every day to something unfortunate coming along.
If you found something that you would like to share with the group or have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me at email@example.com.
